About Me

Sarah E. Roughley

My name is Sarah Roughley and I am currently in my first year of teaching middle school ASD. I came from teaching English Language Arts at the middle school level and I absolutely fell in love with children with Autism. Although I have only been working in the ASD field for a short time I have immensely enjoyed this experience. Which has lead me to pursue my masters degree in this field.

Go Tigers!

Taking a break from work

What a job!

Although I love the work I get to do, I enjoy my days off! And I definitely spend plenty of them at Comerica Park.

Some of my favorite things are....
Kids (of course!)
Country music
All sports playing or watching
Community Service
My family and friends
Church
Beaches...anywhere!

As an educator I believe:
All children are capable of learning
Each child is unique and has special gifts
Planning and organization is essential to best practices
The inner-city is a very special place that is close to my heart
